Under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY), the Central Government is providing free food grains to the beneficiaries (Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) families and Priority Family (PHH) beneficiaries) as per their eligibility (35 kg food grains per AAY family per month and 5 kg food grains per person per month in case of priority families) for the next five years from 1st January 2024.

Benefits:

Keeping in mind the welfare of the economically weaker citizens of the country and in the context of access, affordability and availability of food grains to the poor, free ration is being provided to eligible beneficiaries in 28 categories under the provisions of NFSA 2013.

How To Apply

In urban areas, one has to apply offline to register the name on M Ration Mitra portal by going to the local body, Municipal Corporation/Nagar Palika and in rural areas to the Gram Panchayat/Janpad Panchayat offices and providing the required documents.
