Ujjain GIS is a digital system through which geographic and administrative data at the district level is collected, stored, managed, and analyzed using Geographic Information System (GIS) technology.
Under the initiative of the Government of India and the Government of Madhya Pradesh, this system is being used for planning, monitoring, and effective management of development activities in the district.
The Ujjain GIS platform provides integrated access to various types of spatial information—such as road networks, drinking water supply systems, sewer lines, land use, government assets, schools, hospitals, and other public infrastructure—on a single digital map platform.
Through this platform, the administration is able to make informed decisions based on accurate data, ensure better utilization of resources, and effectively monitor development works.
